The short version

The Emotion → MIDI studio at /midiruns entirely in your browser. Chord progressions, melodies, notation, and MIDI file generation happen client-side using the Web Audio API and JavaScript — nothing you compose is uploaded to a server, and we don't collect the music you make.

Sample Lab (optional, local tool)

Sample Lab (/samples) is a power-user feature for converting audio to WAV. Uploaded-file processing (key/BPM detection) also runs entirely in your browser. YouTube-link conversion additionally requires a separate backend service (apps/backend) that you or an operator runs yourself — it is not required for, and is not part of, the public static site. If you run that backend, the URL you submit and the resulting audio file are processed on that server (or your own machine) only, and are governed by whoever operates that instance, not by this privacy policy.

Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics service that does not track individuals across sites or fingerprint devices. It reports aggregate traffic metrics (page views, referrers, approximate location) only.

Advertising

Pages on this site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally via aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain Amazon Associates affiliate links to audio gear. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which gear we mention.
